The Development of Torremolinos as an International Resort
by M. Barke and L.A. France
Published July 1991

This type of tourism has become more problematic in economic, social and environmental terms and the implications of this are felt nowhere more severely than in locations such as Torremolinos. This paper reports on the development of one of Europe's most famous and in some senses, most notorious holiday locations.
