Pirates of Felicity
7 primary works
Book 1
There are three types of people in the Exosian Realm—males, females, and pirates.
I’m a pirate. One with six overprotective fathers for a crew. And if I’m telling the honest truth, not just the pirate truth, having so many fathers is working pretty well for me so far.
When I’m caught eavesdropping on the pirates of Malice, they retaliate with violence, and my fathers become set on revenge. But simple payback cascades into shattering misfortune.
Unexplainable magical happenings and impossible creatures propel me toward a fate much darker than stealing plunder. A terrible beast drags forth horrible truths of my fathers’ pasts which call my entire life into question. Now, my sheltered upbringing is swelling into a furious storm that I must, for the first time in seventeen years, navigate without my crew.
An intense russet-haired landlubber seeks to help me. A savvy silver-eyed Malice pirate strives to hinder me. But the further I drift, the more I wonder—am I helping or hindering myself?
Can I stand on my own two feet to claim victory?
And if so. . .what will that victory cost?
Prepare to sail into a realm of gritty high-stakes adventure, swashbuckling characters, forgotten magic, and slow-burn romance.
Book 2
Certainty is slipping through my fingers like pirates’ gold.
After escaping to our secret sanctuary, I’m haunted by the guilt of my decision. And the close call with Malice left me with more than doubt—I’m now harboring a magical fugitive.
When Cosmo reveals a darkness is spreading from his wound, our crew must brave capture by our enemies to cure him. But will saving his life leave me in fragments?
Answers to questions I’d rather ignore are forced savagely into the light. An ancient, tribal magic squeezes from all sides, leaving one treacherous path that I must walk beside my crew. Except, for the first time in my life, I’d rather walk alone.
Secrecy is becoming too much like normalcy.
Normalcy has become too much to bear.
What will be left when all is undone and I’m left in tatters?
Prepare to journey into seas of dire adventure, complex characters, magic with a twist, and slow-burn romance.
Book 3
Darkness crashes over the angry sea.
After the bloody skirmish on Pleo, my future is a jumbled mess. But I’m more concerned with the questions washing ashore: How can the pirates I’ve known my entire life be strangers now? How can they let past horrors rule them— after eighteen years? And how am I bound to this magical madness?
Chaos swirls, growing stronger every day, and I’m about to find out why.
Cosmo is determined to solve our problems the only way he knows how – landlubber style. The rest of my crew waver between duty and the urge to survive. But when I’m taken captive by the captain of Malice, I finally discover what’s lurking in the deep.
Pretence is washed away with the raging sea. Darkness takes root. Unwanted truth is as inevitable as the rising sun.
A battle is brewing around me...
And so is my reason to join the fight.
Weigh anchor and journey into a realm of royals with family issues, pirates with moral dilemmas, and magical creatures who drink too much.
Book 4
Oily taint suffocates the realm.
Experiencing the taint firsthand has convinced me to join an impossible fight to save what remains of the realm. I can hardly do otherwise with the light show occurring each time I touch Caspian and Jagger.
But there’s just one problem.
Saving the realm means embarking on a quest into the Dynami Sea – a place no pirate enters because no pirate leaves.
My fathers are determined to save our new landlubber guests on Zol, whose very souls depend on our success. Jagger is set on isolating himself in my crow’s nest. And the only time Caspian smiles now is when he looks my way.
Me? I just want to secure the remaining three pieces of the weapon – and maybe figure out what this kissing business is about.
Set sail for dangerous seas with a crew of mostly honest pirates, fierce immortals, and age-old mysteries.
Book 5
When light is gone, I will understand.
With four parts of the root of magic in our grasp, I should feel like the worst is behind us. Yet the journey to the fifth piece is fraught with dangerous magical creatures. And I can only give the lethal immortals half of my attention.
Grubby is changing and I have no idea what to make of him. Now, another of my fathers has isolated himself for reasons unknown.
Meanwhile, things between Caspian and I are taking a heart-pounding turn, and the decision to trust Jagger isn’t proving as straightforward as expected. In fact, it’s hurting my damn skull.
But when the sun sets on the worst day of my life, I may understand more of this dark, age-old evil.
I may grasp what I stand to lose.
I may discover with whom my heart resides.
. . . And I can only hope that knowledge doesn’t come too late. . . .
Join this crew of mostly honest pirates who have mostly honorable intentions. Meet gossiping immortals with terrible hair!
Book 6
Hell’s exit appears once a day.
My very life—and the key to escaping Davy Jones’ Locker—rests in figuring out Mutinous Cannon’s sinister plan.
He needs my crew in hell.
We have to figure out why before time runs out.
But Plank is sinking into an abyss where none of us can follow, Mutinous’ presence has rocked my fathers to their very cores, and now I find myself unable to ignore the heat mounting within me.
. . . Yet giving in to my feelings for one will hurt another.
I can’t lose my fathers, my crew, to the horrors of their pasts.
Their demons must be conquered.
As must mine.
The Eternal Gambit must be untangled.
Join this pirate crew for the adventure of a lifetime as they battle to stay afloat.
Book 7
The battle is over.
My fathers are insistent that we keep fighting and end the pillars’ evil reign. As far as I’m concerned, the battle was lost when hell burst open and someone I loved died.
But Mutinous Cannon didn’t just take the root of magic when he broke free, he took Jagger.
No matter that I’m lost to grief. No matter that I’m floating in an abyss. The thought of Jagger in the suffocating grip of the taint won’t let me give up.
I’ll get my flaxen-haired pirate back.
Whatever the cost.
After that?
The realm can save itself.
