All children are familiar with different modes of transport, even if they haven't yet travelled on all of them. Imaginative play often involves cars, trucks and aeroplanes. This makes it much easier to direct play that children are already interested in, engaging them whilst covering your curriculum requirements at the same time. Transport is part of a themed series which draws together new ideas for timeless favourites and offers collections of activities that can be easily implemented and readily incorporated into curriculum planning through links made to the Foundation Stage curriculum. It includes: Activities that can be used on their own or as part of a programme Ideas for enjoying an all round curriculum approach Advice on how to build on children's investigative skills Guidance on expanding your own bank of ideas and resources Photocopiable sheets to extend and support learning Linked ideas for parents and practitioners to carry out at home This easy-to-use and fun book will be an invaluable resource for all early years practitioners looking for new ideas and ways to enhance learning within their setting.
