Each Literacy Centre contains: 6 copies of a core text used by the whole class and supporting Shared and Guided reading activities; 6 copies of a guided text aimed at the average reader in that year group; 6 copies of a guided text aimed at more able readers in that year group; 6 copies of a guided text aimed at less able readers in that year group; 6 Lyfjackets for the children's books; a Teachers Book; how the Centres work; and the core text. This is used with the whole class, either as a text they all share, or as a class novel for that term.
