Book 1
Sarah has spent her whole life fighting against her father’s wishes. She doesn’t care about his old beliefs and traditions; she just wants to go to college. Sarah’s determined to do something with her life that doesn’t involve baking pies and being a good wife, and she’s convinced that with enough hard work, she’ll manage it all. That is, until she gets put on a class assignment with Robert Hasting who seems intent on causing trouble in her life in more ways than one.
Robert is sick of his father telling him what to do and who to date. When he leaves for college, he promises himself that he’s finally going to have some fun. That is, until he meets Sarah. She’s everything that Robert has ever wanted, but can he make her notice him when all she seems to care about is coursework?
Book 2
Sarah has spent the last few weeks wondering what’s going on between her and Robert. They got close during their class project, but then he had to rush off and she hasn’t seen him since. She’s starting to think that she’s wasting her time. That is, until she gets a phone call from him saying that his father wants to meet her. In the blink of an eye everything changes and suddenly things start getting serious. But when Rob’s father makes it clear that she will never be family, what will she do?
Robert has never had an easy relationship with his dad and that isn’t about to change on his father’s deathbed. In his last desperate attempt to control his son, Rob’s father sends Sarah away with the message that she will never be welcome in Rob’s life. Will Rob be willing to stand for it or will he go against his father’s dying wishes so that he can be with the girl that he loves?
Book 3
Sarah went to college to learn. She went for the classes and to prove her father wrong about what women could really achieve. But all she’s managed to do, so far is mess things up. Without knowing how, she’s ended up with two men after her and no idea about which one she wants to be with. The clock is ticking and she knows that neither of them will wait forever.
Robert can’t believe that his friend has gone after Sarah. James knew just how much Sarah meant to Rob. He also knows that he can’t rush Sarah into making a decision, but as time passes, he’s become increasingly impatient for her answer. When he visits James to find out what’s going on he ends up bitterly disappointed. Will that be enough for him to walk away from Sarah or will he keep fighting for the girl that he’s pretty sure he loves?
Book 4
Sarah has decided that supporting Rob is the right thing to do, even if it puts her in an awkward position. She knows that with the loss of his father he’s going to need her when he returns home to a place that he hasn’t been in years. She’s worried, though. She’s worried about how his sisters are going to treat her after his father took such a disliking to her, and told her she would never be part of the family.
Robert is nervous about going home. He hasn’t seen his sisters in years and he knows to expect anything but a warm welcome. He manages to navigate his way through the awkward conversations with them when he realizes that all they care about is getting their hands on their father’s money. Things seem straightforward enough. He’s due to inherit everything and that means his sisters have to play nice. But when it comes to light that his father has put a pretty heavy stipulation on his will, things are no longer as simple as they seem.
Book 5
Sarah can’t believe that her boyfriend has just proposed to her and that he’s expecting a prompt answer. When she finally gives it to him she does so on one condition, that he must meet her father. Sarah hasn’t seen her father since she left for college, but she’s hoping that the idea of marriage might mend their troubled relationship. Little does Sarah know that it isn’t her father she should be worrying about, but Rob, who has a secret he’s been keeping from her.
Robert can’t believe that he’s going to meet Sarah’s father. He’s nervous and worried about it, but he knows that once it’s done, he won’t have to go through with it again. When he arrives at the house he’s surprised to find that her father treats her horribly. He’s shocked and appalled by her father’s behavior, but it isn’t until he returns home that he realizes just how nasty family can really be.
Book 6
Sarah has been left with nothing—not even hope. The person she trusted the most has deceived her and now she doesn’t know what to do. All she knows is what she is being forced to do. If she doesn’t get a job quickly then she’s going to lose her place at college.
Robert can’t believe he’s messed things up so badly. It isn’t even his own pain that he’s bothered about. It’s the fact that he’s hurt Sarah. He knows that he has to make things right. He knows that he has to prove to her that she’s worth so much more to him than money. He comes up with a plan, but will selling his soul to the devil really be enough to prove to Sarah that he’s sorry?
