Stories and Rhymes

This series aims to provide an add-on series of photocopiable books that link with the "Themes for Early Years" series. The ideas offer a collection of ready-made photocopiable activity ideas that link in with popular themes and cover all areas of the Desirable Outcomes. The activities are supported by teachers' notes. This book includes chapters on: traditional stories, fairy tales, nursery rhymes and action and counting rhymes; each chapter focuses on six specific stories or rhymes. Practical ideas include moving like different-sized goats, building a castle for Sleeping Beauty, and making Humpty Dumpty a get-well card. The ideas aim to extend children's skills in all areas of the curriculum and are based on the Early Learning Goals.
