Holly St. James Romantic Mystery
6 primary works
Book 1
Ekahi, which means “one” in Hawaiian, is the first book in a romantic mystery series from Georgette Livingston that features the adventures of Holly St. James, private detective. In this first outing, Holly is annoyed that her brother Jack has given her yet another ho-hum assignment at their family’s detective agency. This time she’s supposed to be following a philandering husband. The husband, though, turns out to be loaded with charm and charisma, and Holly is dismayed to find herself attracted to him in a most unprofessional way.
When someone starts shooting at them both, Holly realized that the man she is following is no ordinary soon-to-be-divorced husband, and the case she is working on is no ordinary run-of-the-mill job.
Before the story ends, Holly will face duplicity and danger that are heart-stopping in more ways than one….
Book 2
Elua, which means “two” in Hawaiian, is the second book in a romantic mystery series that features the adventures of Holly St. James, private detective. In this second book of the series, Holly St. James and Logan West meet Annie Bean, a tough old woman who claims to have witnessed a murder. There is a body all right, but Annie seems to know more than she admits. Holly and Logan also encounter a very rich and very young widow who keeps a deadly secret, as well as a lonely drifter with a scarred hand who may not be as threatening as he appears.
And while the clues mount, are Holly and Logan hearing wedding bells in the background?
Book 3
The first time Holly St. James is attacked in a parking lot, she and Logan West believe it is a random mugging. However, as her car teeters on the edge of a cliff, Holly reluctantly admits that the assaults on her life are anything but random. Someone is trying to kill her. Unfortunately, no one knows who or why. When Holly’s house is ransacked, it becomes obvious that the would-be murderer is looking for something, but what? Holly doesn’t know, but she is determined to find out. The only question is: can Holly identify her attacker before she becomes the next victim of a murderous madman?
Book 4
Book 5
A destitute artist vanishes while windsurfing on a remote beach, and his body is never found. A rich woman from the mainland flies to Kauai in search of a husband who deserted her three months ago. Holly and Logan are called into action, and they now must untangle a web of deceit before somebody gets murdered.
Sighs and screams abound in this fifth installment of the Holly St. James Romantic Mystery Series. Time is running out for Holly to find a mysterious man and to uncover the shocking past of a client. Holly may find that she can expose one daring disguise only with some clever disguises of her own.
Book 6
To celebrate their first anniversary, Holly and Logan can think of nothing more romantic and peaceful than a sail on the Sea Breeze to revisit Maui, their honeymoon spot. But despite their best intentions, things always have a way of heating up for private investigator Holly St. James and her handsome husband.
Logan’s old buddy, Stump Tanner, is in the midst of renovating his sea-side bar. When Holly and Logan arrive, they find the renovations, and Stump’s life, taken over by Anita Miller, one of Stump’s four ex-wives. Holly suspects that Anita has her own agenda, especially when she sees Anita and the new bartender having a téte-á-téte when Anita is supposedly in bed with a migraine.
When Anita’s dead body is subsequently found washed up on the beach, Holly and Logan realize that their vacation will have to be put on hold, yet again, until they can help to find the killer. Anita was obviously in over her head, and this time, it looks like Holly and Logan may be as well.
