The Last Straw and More

A book of short stories, each focusing on a different child within the same class at school. Although each story takes a different child as its starting point, the stories link together as the different characters appear in each others stories. The themes include: coping with competition, dealing with anger, inferiority complexes, living with disappointment, finding the best in situations, learning to give, and coping with grief. However, the themes are secondary to the characters themselves, who draw the reader into thinking about both their faith and the way they live it out at school. A good mix of overtly Christian stories with those that have a Christian "theme" or bit-part characters, the stories show Christian kids being a witness at school, struggling with their faith and learning what God wants them to do.
