Precalculus

This precalculus text includes chapters on trigonometry which have been written so professors can begin with either the right triangle approach or the unit circle approach. Marginal notes in each chapter relate the two approaches, but chapters can be studied in either order without losing continuity. The authors emphasize problem solving throughout the text and include "Focus on Problem Solving" sections at the end of some chapters and "Focus on Modelling" sections at the end of others. Frequent vignettes (often historical) appear in the margins, "danger signs" warn students of common pitfalls, artwork enhances student's geometric intuition, and chapter tests let students test their knowledge.
