Assuming no knowledge of African history, this book gives a summary of central African history before moving on to look at Rwanda in detail and the genocide that occurred there. Refugee movements and the efforts of aid agencies are covered and there are quotes and viewpoints from both victims and perpetrators.
Relates events in Rwanda after the murder of President Habyarimana including the genocide of the Tutsi, the ill-treatment of refugees, and the eventual reconciliation.
This book gives a full chronological account of the rise of the Nazis, analysing such factors as the Versailles treaty, economic depression, and the personality of Hitler. Perspective panels give the views of eye-witness and expert accounts, as well as the views of Nazis and their victims.
