This series offers a clear look at different aspects of our everyday lives, providing an opportunity to consider how experiences such as going to the doctor, going shopping and going to school compare today with those experiences throughout the 1900s. Each title focuses on one event, such as going to the doctor, using current day full-colour photographs and archive material to provide a `compare and contrast' opportunity through the book. A clear and concise main text introduces essential facts and themes, with captions providing additional information and highlighting points of interest. The archive images are arranged chronologically to show how `going to the doctor' etc has changed throughout the 1900s. This aspect is emphasised by a timeline which runs through the book.
