Long's work is founded on a deep affinity with nature, involving his direct engagement with its space and materials. It is the relationship between man and nature that makes his work both timeless and universal. Paul Moorehouse's essay aims to offer a clear and insightful commentary on Long's practice and motivations in the light of the works exhibited at Tate St Ives.
