Book Summary:

The trouble only begins there, as Julia’s children are convinced something is wrong with their new home. There’s creaking in the night, and now strange videos are online- recorded from inside the house.

My Review:

Someone in the Attic is one of those familiar thrillers that you love to read—or at least that I love to read. While most of the tropes in this novel are not unique, their combination makes it shine.

The premise seems simple at first but actually gets a bit complicated. We have one death, one stalking, and a whole lot of very scared people. The more the story goes on, the more complicated it seems.

While I did enjoy Someone in the Attic, I'll admit that one detail in the early part of the book told me who the killer/perpetrator was. So, I wasn't surprised when that big reveal came about at the end. I find it satisfying that the important information was there for readers to find, but I wish it hadn't been so easy.

Still, Someone in the Attic was an easy and comfortable read for a cozy winter night. So I can't complain too much!
