Martin Turner's book of poems is unusual because he does not claim to be a poet. It is different, too, because he never studied or tried to learn about the different forms poetry can take. Almost all his work appears to be triggered by someone or something in his life and then simply pours onto the page from some deep source in his head.

It may be his own experiences that explain why this book attempts to reveal how even the darkest times that we all experience from time to time can pass, and life become good and fulfilling again. Quite a number of these poems are about love and were inspired by love. Martin Turner is a fortunate man to have shared life and love with the different muses who have inspired him and given him the ability to write down his thoughts and feelings. Because of these muses he clearly never had to sit and try to think what to write. It is also evident that in his poems he enjoys using the beautiful words of the English language to create images in the mind of the reader.
