This book tells the full story of the Tyrell Racing team from the perspective of its official photographer. First established in 1958 by Ken Tyrell with Formula 3 and Formula 2 cars, success soon came to Tyrell in the German Grand Prix in ??? when Jacky Ickx won in a Matra MS5. In 1968 Jackie Stewart won three Grand Prix driving a Matra MS10. The following year, Jackie Stewart and Tyrell would win the World Championship with the Matra MS80. The author conveys all the excitement of these heady days in both words and illustrations. The book also describes the transition from other manufacturers’ cars to one developed by Tyrell itself which opened the 1970s with instant success, winning both the Drivers and Contractors Championship in 1970. Over the next two years, the Tyrell team won four Grand Prix.

The book also describes the relative decline of Tyrell as wins were fewer and farther between over the next decade. Its last Grand Prix win was in 1983 and by 1998 Tyrell had stopped operating under its own name. However, the book shows that its legacy is still seen in the Mercedes-AMG F1 team today.

Including unique contributions from Jacke Stewart and Bob Tyrell and illustrated with 180 official photographs, this is the definitive concise story of Tryell Racing.
