This was a weirdly cute, spicy little smantasy novella. Alexis, the crass talking sword 100% stole the show. You should read this just for her sass.

I ended up reading this after the Mead Mishaps, and it stands up with them brilliantly well. I particularly love when the Heroine's sense of direction fails her. The inner monologue (as well as shouted comments ), had me laughing out loud.
