Quirky Cat
Summary:
Coco lives in a world where magic exists. Unfortunately, she's no magician. That's the one thing she's desperately wanted to be ever since she was a little girl. However, she has also been told that magicians are born, not made. Until one day, Coco sees something that changes her life. Now, she's a witch in training.
The festival is in full swing, and only each of the apprentices is busy with her own drama. One has made friends with a prince, the other has her history to deal with, and Coco? Well, her friends need her, and that means she'll do whatever it takes.
Review:
Holy cats. How does this series find new ways to up the ante? Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 10 made me feel a lot. And I do mean A LOT. There's good and bad, but mostly, it's just a whole lot of anxiety as I wait to see what happens to Custas and the crew.
In truth, there's so much going on in this volume that it will take a moment to process. Coco's plot may be taking up the majority of our time, but I can't help but feel like some of these subplots will come back around to bite us (or, rather, the characters).
I do love how this series weaves arcs together like that. Speaking of something else this series does – the cliffhangers! Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 10 is no exception. The ending hits hard and will make you want to dive into Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 11 without hesitation. I dread getting caught up because that means having to wait for answers.
