But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness and self-control.
- Galatians 5:22-23 (CEB)
The same way fruits grow on a tree or vine and become ripe enough to be picked, eaten and enjoyed, it's the same way we become palatable to God and others when we try to grow in His will by doing and being what He says we can be.
Because we have a relationship with Him, through the Holy Spirit we can exhibit love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. Throughout the book, the authors give examples of ways children can practice each of the seven fruits.
The pictures are bright and imbue a sense of happiness on sight. Various ethnicities are represented demonstrating that the offer to become like Jesus with the help of the Holy Spirit is available to everyone.
This book also goes into the pile of books for my grandson! Every parent should have a copy in their arsenal to teach their child about what kind of behavior God expects from His children, even the littlest ones.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. I wrote this review voluntarily.
