My True Love centres around Grant Silver and Jules Steele. Grant has returned home to Silver Island after losing his leg in an explosion while serving his country. The accident and the resulting consequence changed him. Depressed and angry, he withdrew himself from his family and friends. He avoided social activities and anything which required any form of interaction with others.
Jules decided enough was enough, and she made it her duty to pull Grant out of his current state and restore his once vibrant personality while reconnecting with his family and friends.
My heart grieved for Grant. I wouldn’t understand what it means to lose a limb, but it was clear he was not in a good place. Stir in unresolved issues from the past and you have a bomb ready to explode. However, Jules storming into his life proved the perfect defuse.
Jules optimistic approach to life made her a hit with everyone. She tries to find the good in a bad situation. Therefore, it came as no surprise when Grant became her new project. Soon she would wear him down with her adorable attempts.
If given the choice in choosing my favourite Melissa Foster couple, Grant and Jules would top the list. Their interactions which had me smiling and tearing up and many times throughout the story. What a treat to see them both work through their issues together.
Readers who love their romance hot and sweet will be in for a treat. My True Love had the perfect blend of heat and sweetness.
Foster creates secondary characters one cannot help but love, and this time was no different. They added life to the story with their pranks, teasing and advice.
In this captivating and inspiring story that pulls the reader into the lives of the characters, readers are reminded that love is a powerful emotion that facilitates healing and restoration. My True Love was simply a beautiful story of healing, love, and finding one’s purpose.
A must read for fans of contemporary romance. This review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading
