Quirky Cat
Summary:
Rinn is quite familiar with the concept of tea dragons. After all, there are dozens of them living in the village! Seeing a tea dragon and stumbling upon a real dragon are two entirely different things.
Yet that is only the beginning of Rinn's latest adventure, as they unintentionally wake a sleeping dragon. As it turns out, said sleeping dragon, Aedhan, was a young dragon assigned to care for this village...several decades ago.
Review:
Aww. The Tea Dragon Festival is a fantastic addition to this series, if I may say so. It's sweet and enchanting, and I would do anything to read more about each and every one of the characters introduced here.
If you already read The Tea Dragon Society, you'll likely know at least two characters in this graphic novel. That's because The Tea Dragon Festival takes a step back in time, taking us to a time years before the setting of the first novel. It took me a second to realize this fact, but it was a brilliant decision. It helped set the scene, explain the lore, and even give us the backstory of secondary characters.
I don't think I said this in my review of The Tea Dragon Society, but the artwork for this whole series is stunning. Likewise, the characters are so sweet and full of life. It's hard not to fall in love with them.
Speaking of love, there is something so beautifully and quietly romantic about The Tea Dragon Festival. This book is a must-read, regardless of age.
