The story of That Weekend is thoroughly engrossing, a true page-turner. This is a book that perfectly balances the action of the plot with character-driven elements. The twists and turns, the red herrings, are perfectly placed and well developed. I was kept off-kilter throughout the story, which is something I truly love in this genre. And the characterization was on point, whether you hated them, loved them, or just weren’t sure what to think!

This was pretty good. I liked the alternating timelines and POVs. The twists were a little underwhelming for me. TW for kidnapping, bodily harm, domestic abuse.
