So mostly this is a cute, fun book. It's Kasie West so of course there's cute banter and misunderstandings and making up and sweet.

Except apparently, it wouldn't be a book if someone wasn't stupid in it (or maybe that's just the books I've been reading lately where someone is always stupid). In the middle of Sunkissed, Avery actually thinks her sister has been talking to random strangers about her in order to get Avery to do something she doesn't want to. And not just once but multiple times with multiple strangers. Really? I get that Avery doesn't want to do it but the angle of her sister manipulating her like that and the internal monologue was so ridiculous. 

Mostly though, I just kind of enjoyed that it's Dirty Dancing without actually being Dirty Dancing and it's totally the same but also just enough different and younger to be fun.
