Quirky Cat

I didn’t realize until reading the author’s note at the end that this series has been published before. So if I wasn’t feeling lazy I could easily track down the rest instead of having to wait. I’ll probably wait it out, but we’ll see if I change my mind later.
This is an interesting series. It’s sort of like Animal Farm, in that it’s using anthropomorphized creatures as a tool for social commentary. The subjects covered are actually very heavy, making the beautiful artwork somewhat deceptive.
Essentially these characters live in a world where the government heavily controls their sex lives and reproduction. With a society full of different species, you can imagine how quickly that sort of governing could get out of control. And how many laws a controlling government could come up with to get a ‘handle’ on it.
There’s a bit of fan service being done here, but honestly it isn’t that bad, so if that tends to bother you or turn you off from a series I’d urge you to give it a try anyway.
