Quirky Cat

Moving on. There’s a new team on the move, and they’re looking to come up against threat specific to Asgard – though they don’t seem to mind protecting the other realms while they’re at it. The team (currently) consists of: Angela, The Destroyer (sort of), Annabelle Riggs/Valkyrie (long story), Skurge, Throg (yes, really), and Thunderstrike. Not the sort of team I’d expect Angela to pick, given a choice, so obviously there’s something more going on here. It could simply be an Avengers thing, where it’s whoever is willing and able, or it could be more. I guess we’ll find out.
I can already tell that this issue is going to involve elements from other series going on. In this one issue alone it referenced something that happened in Thor (to explain Skurge’s presence) and something going on in the Infinity Wars plot. There’s probably more, but those are the two biggest points in my mind.
Being that it’s only one issue in…I’m still sort of waiting to see where this one is going. It has potential; a good/interesting team, the hint of a major plot, an unexpected antagonist, and a grayscale character that has the potential to become a secondary antagonist. You can’t really ask for more than that, certainly not from a brand new series. So I’m willing to continue reading this one.
