Quirky Cat

This issue picks up where the last one left off; with Ripley being taken by a certain evil character (naturally). Unfortunately for said character, she was not prepared for Ripley and her shenanigans, nor was she even remotely capable of handing her and the swarm of kittens. And let’s be fair: that’s a whole lot of chaos for one person to handle. Not that I feel bad for this person at all.
The rest of the Roanoke cabin seemed slower than usual to figure out where Ripley went. Then again, I used to read this series by the volume, so maybe switching to by the issue just makes it feel like it’s taking longer. Yeah, that sounds more likely.
Once again this issue left on a cliffhanger, but at least I don’t mind it when it happens in the Lumberjanes series. While some may consider it boring to know that it’ll all workout, somehow, in the end, I find it very relaxing.
As per usual I love the artwork for this series. It can’t be easy drawing so many kittens and having them all distinct. Not only do they look distinct – but their abilities and the way those abilities look are all dramatically different. So props to the artist for managing to handle that.
