Quirky Cat

So here are the hard facts first; I’ve read everything that’s out of both series so far (the other one is titled Captain Marvel, and is written by Kelly Thompson if you’re looking to check it out). I can honestly tell you that neither series seem to overlap or cause any continuity issues. You could easily read one or the other, or both, and not have any issues. Which is good, because I’m totally going to continue reading both.
This issue was really clever in its storytelling style. It used the perspective of two young fans as a way of reminding us that Captain Marvel has a past and that she still is a person despite her superhero status. She has to juggle multiple problems, just like the rest of us. Admittedly her problems tend to be on a larger scale…literally, but you get what I’m saying.
This was a fun and light first issue. I really loved the tone and the artwork for it as well. I can’t wait to see where it leads to next.
