It hurts knowing that this is the second to last issue in Jason Aaron's run of Thor (I keep telling myself it isn't true). I know I probably shouldn't focus on that bit, but it's hard, you know? His run has been years long, and one gets used to seeing writers at the helm of certain projects.

Anyway, let's talk about the issue at hand here. King Thor #3 was an intense issue, one set in the far-flung future of the King Thor plot arcs (duh). A fan-favorite antagonist is back to see the end of all the gods - and existence alongside them. It's everything that Jason Aaron has building towards for quite some time. And it has been completely worth the wait. It's intense and emotional, tugging on our hearts strings in unexpected ways.

I could spend all day talking about this issue...but I won't. I will say that I loved the change in artstyles between the two main perspectives/events (one being the Thor/Loki/antagonist fight and the other being Thor's granddaughters). It was clever and effective for a variety of reasons.
