The murder-mystery was rather clever, and I enjoyed the list of suspects. I confess I thought I had it all worked out early on… only to discover I didn’t, so pay attention.
Katrine Engberg delivers an interesting and well-developed case. The clues, pacing, characters, and twists pulled me in. Indeed, I was hooked from the start. The suspect list was a viable one and the clues, red herrings, and twists felt grounded as the author kept me working things out along with our detectives.
I have to mention the attention to details the author provided, from the characters’ mannerisms to the landscape. Having never been to Denmark, the author shared landmarks, buildings, neighborhoods and more bringing the area to life.
Graeme Malcolm did a lovely job with the narration, particularly with Korner and Werner. I hope he continues to narrate the series.
Dark, twisted and gritty, The Tenant was a well-plotted case that left me looking forward to the next audiobook and case. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Reviewer
