This is Ali’s third adventure, but each works as a standalone. Together with her new friends (a monkey, a rat, a bat, and a burro with a piranha in a mason jar tied around his neck) Ali sets out on another mission. Ali and the others need to retrieve the Nobil Fel pocket watch from a vampire named Gaspare.
The geese are back and determined to stop them as they travel to Transylvania and enter a castle where beet-eating vampires try to stop them. Can they save the world?
While Sophia loves the nail-biting adventure, I love the character growth and team work shared between the characters. The animals are unique and Jolly weaves acceptance, teamwork, faith in-oneself and other positive attributes all while entertaining the listener.
In each adventure Ali grows in confidence and learns more about the mother she misses. It’s touching, as is the friendship she has developed with these creatures.
Stefanie Anne narrates and once again captures young Ali and her motley crew of friends. Her voices are all unique and make identifying each easy, even for young listeners such as Sophia. Her narration enhances the story while building on the suspenseful moments.
Young listeners and families will want to begin the Adventurous Ali series. As for the Royals and I, we are hoping for more audiobooks and adventures with Ali and her friends. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Reviewer
