A sweet story about two bunnies falling in love and standing up to the Man (aka Stink Bug), featuring the power of voting and supportive friends.

I've been meaning to pick this one since it was announced last year (and sold out when I tried to buy it), but never got around to it. It was featured on my library's list of LGBTQIAP+ Recommendations and available for request, which meant that I hopped with the quickness to read this one!

Not only does A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo have a really positive message about accepting difference, but it even has a great message about the importance of voting! This is something we should instil in our children from an early age. We have a say in who represents us, and there's no reason why children shouldn't know and understand that.

From a narrative perspective, the book was simple and joyful. It flowed really well, had a great message and the characters were unique caricatures of the animals that they represented. I'm still waiting for my actual copy to arrive, so I listened to the audio version, and Jim Parsons did a fantastic job of narrating it.
