I am reading this again before I see the movie. I probably won't be reading it at the same speed as I did the first time: 11 hours and 15 minutes.

I am done now. Of course I love it more and more each time I read it.
This time, I read it in 2 days instead of my record of 11 hours and 15 minutes.

They say that you save the best 'til last. This was by far the best Harry Potter book. I loved all the twists and turns. The revelation of Snape's love. Ron and Hermione finally admitting their love. The epilogue was a great way to end Harry's story.

Finalmente. Se acabó la saga más seguida de los últimos tiempos. Y me ha encantado. Tranquilos, estimados lectores, que no les voy a revelar nada de la trama ni del final.
En este séptimo libro, J. K. Rowling [JKR] tenía pendientes un montón de cosas, un montón de historias que cerrar. Durante las primeras páginas (más de 200), los acontecimientos van tomando forma, muy poco a poco, aunque con algunas escenas aventureras. Voldemort (aquél que no debe ser nombrado) es malo malísimo y está yendo a por todas, y se intuye que el final va a ser de órdago.
Y, de repente, los acontecimientos se precipitan. La segunda mitad del libro es altamente adictiva, todo va ocurriendo cada vez más y más deprisa hasta llegar a los momentos finales llenos de épica, creo yo que de las mejores páginas de toda la saga.
JKR tenía varios finales para elegir, y el que ha elegido me ha gustado mucho. Es todo lo que puedo decir. Hay algunas preguntas que quedan por responder al final del libro, y la autora las desvela en alguna entrevista que le han hecho. Los lectores que quieran saber qué ocurre tras el final de la última página pueden leerlo en Harry Latino, donde lo desvelan. ¡Ojo! ¡Lo desvelan!
Se nota claramente, igual que en los dos libros anteriores, la evolución de los protagonistas. En este libro Los tres amigos, que ya tienen diecisiete, sueltan tacos, por ejemplo, cosa que creo que no ocurría en los primeros libros. Creo que los personajes están bien dibujados, tratándose del tipo de libro que se trata. Hay algunas maniobras de diversión (tipo flashback) en mitad de acontecimientos importantes, pero son completamente necesarias. El relato es sencillo y fluido, y creo que también tiene utilidad como libro para aprender inglés, si alguno de mis lectores no se acaba de animar a lanzarse a la versión inglesa.
En resumidas (y esdrújulas) cuentas: el séptimo y último es magnífico. En mi humilde opinión, la saga de Harry Potter será recordada por futuras generaciones como el equivalente a los Hollister, los Cinco, los Siete Secretos o los tres investigadores de Alfred Hitchcock, es decir, como el paso casi necesario para convertirse en lector cuando uno es niño/adolescente.
Mi nota, por supuesto, es Imprescindible.

J.K Rowling is one of the greatest writers of this time. Harry Potter is a phenomenal experience and something everyone must read. The last and final book of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, while an end to this era, is a fantastic addition to anyone's bookshelf. The fast paced storyline and the incredible writing style leaves readers with exactly what they were after in this well crafted tale of the boy who lived.

Okay to be fair I hated the epilogue because I ship Hermione/pretty much anyone other than Ron but the series itself is perfect.

An extremely fitting end to a wonderful series! No spoilers here, but I don’t think fans will be disappointed. Truthfully, the ending was more satisfying than I expected. More answers than I found at the end of the Unfortunate Events series. I’d like to kiss J.K. Rowling’s feet for what she’s done to interest children in reading.

I feel a little let down now that I’m done — but I always feel that way at the end of a series. I think I’ll have to read the last couple of chapters again!
