Jason Kumalo, an ex-apartheid black cop, and Danny September an ex-Cape fisherman, both in their late fifties, have pasts they both want to forget. With their wives they own a popular nightclub on Durban's Tourist Waterfront, with gang of street kids sleeping in the basement. A foreign businessman, McIntyre charms and buys his way into government and society circles, and opens a medical manufacturing facility on the harbour, exporting his generic medicines in his own converted US Naval warship. Pretending to help street kids by starting an inner-city feeding scheme, he abducts kids and uses them for medical experiments. Nobody knows, nobody cares, nobody believes---- except the street kids themselves. They call on the two ageing night club owners to help them solve the mystery of these disappearing kids, and this leads up to a shocking and action-filled climax.
