This book offers a new way of looking at - and finding meaning in - our casual snapshots. Written for the general reader interested in photography, consciousness and intuition, this book explores the relationship between our casual photographic 'snapshots' and our (largely unconscious) 'picture' of the world and shows how our photographs can offer us the means to greater self-awareness and acceptance. Like a flashbulb that briefly illuminates a dark street and which reveals the goings-on in the shadows only when we get the film back from the lab, many of our photographs can bring to light the places within us we seldom see. Many of the photographs we make are allegorical descriptions of our interior emotional terrain and to which, with a subliminal tap on our shoulder, our unconscious may be trying to bring our attention. Contains 50+ original high-quality photographs.
