I didn't love this as much as I thought I might. The main character Mackenzie White just annoyed me and when she didn't she kind of just fell flat. The mystery was interesting enough but I read crime fiction for a combination of the characters and mystery. It doesn't have to wax on about the characters lives but I do like to get some insight, see the drive and motivation and for me, it just wasn't there in Mackenzie or the few supporting characters.
