A collection of poems by Lachlan Mackinnon. Setting his poems both in France and southern England, the poet aims to combine a sense of contemporary issues with deeply felt personal considerations. Lachlan Mackinnon received an Eric Gregory Award in 1986 for a collection containing many of these poems and some of his other poems have appeared in publications such as "The New Statesman", the "Times Literary Supplement" and "New Chatto poets". He is also author of a biography, "The lives of Elsa Tricolet" and a work of literary criticism, "Eliot, Auden, Lo well".
