This book is designed to help preachers plan and prepare a comprehensive program of doctrinal preaching. It contains two chapters: the first demonstrates methods of planning series characterized by both broadness and balance and which includes a discussion of the Christian year plan, the expository plan, and the people's needs plan. Each plan is explained with examples of sermon series. Chapter two is given to case studies of twelve sermons by eleven preachers. The author's discussion guides the reader through the structural designs of these sermons. Designs used in the sermons include deductive, inductive, inductive/deductive, and narrative.
