If you're looking to understand the adventure and romance and excitement of international marriage with all its cultural and linguistic forays, international travel, exotic cuisine and character enrichment, then do not read this book. The House of Dysfunction takes you right into a house of, um, dysfunction. It's a brutally open, honest, hilarious look at international marriage, and is loaded with the most outrageous and unbelievable stories - all of which are completely true, unless my wife one day actually reads some of them and gets angry, in which case, those ones are not in any way true but are rather stories that I just made up. The House of Dysfunction serves up the full range of triumphs and tortures that come with living in an international marriage. Think of it as an enormous plate of sushi - lovingly made, gorgeous to look at and openly admired, but for the most part, completely inedible. But fun all the way.
