A culture clash like no other. Some ten millennia ago, humanity's future is being decided as the Agricultural Revolution changes everything forever. Follow the adventures of one hunter-gatherer band and its heroic leader (Mada) as it faces the advent of civilisation and all its consequences; organised religion and warfare, social classes and government, ownership of goods and property. Suddenly there were places where there was no need to journey or hunt-and-gather, where food and shelter were always present, but all this came at a terrible cost. That price, involving desperate battles for land, impositions of dictator and priest, acceptance of social classes, marriage and the idea of possessions, is a very high one to pay. Ultimately Mada is forced to choose between subjecting his own feelings and freedom to the new society, or to rebel against its unacceptable demands.
