I had about a week's break in the middle (literal middle, I think) of this book, and it lessened my attachment to it, especially given the repetitive nature of the characters' thoughts. I'm not sure if it was tell-y or just repetitive, but it had me skimming, especially toward the end.

All the games Adrian and Evie played with each other were a tad ridiculous too.

Trouble begins for Lady Evelyn Hadley-Attwater when she receives a note from the Sir Maxwell Osgood requesting her help. This is another well written novel by Ms. Alexander which brings back many of the great characters we met in His Mistress by Christmas and drops many hints of other happenings in the family and setting us up for future novels.
