This volume is a sequel of "Windows NT Security" (September, 1997) that will demonstrate all of the security procedures that today's network programmers need. The author explains the fundamental concepts of Windows network security including: Windows securable objects, identifiers, and the security descriptors algorithm that Windows NT uses to determine whether access should be granted. He demonstrates the 100+ security functions now included in the Win2K security API as well as how the new Kerboros network authentication system is used in the context of the network security options. This book features a C++ class library, developed by the author, that may be used to develop secure applications and to manage network security.
