Wow! That was such a satisfying end to a great series.

This was a great conclusion to the Lux series. I liked the whole series more than I thought I would. I wasn't sure about the Alien aspect but Armentrout wrote the characters and the aliens very well. There were many action-packed scenes in book #5. I was actually sad to have this end but know I want to read more from this author. This last book I feel is more appropriate for ages 18 and up. I also really enjoyed listening to the audiobook which had fantastic narrators.

On one side I'm very happy that I've finally finished this series, it was awesome and I love the main characters.. It had some suprising elements and the happy ending I always adore.
On the other side.. Now it is over. Finished. Which has been the main reason I haven't finished it before, because this is it. Done.
And I wish there was more.

Its so bittersweet to see this series end. I feel like the characters are a part of me. I love each one and I will miss them a lot. Each book was intense to massive porportions—each one ending in massive cliff-hangers but it was worth it. Opposition has left me with major feels. Daemon became so...in love with Katy. Yes, he was before...a lot but in Opposition, I felt it more than before and I kept wishing he was real so I could marry him (my fiance will not approve of this).

I applaud Jennifer for this fascinating series. I can't begin to imagine how it would be to live without the Lux series but I'm sure I'll manage (not happening).

What can I say? There was so much action in here! Me like! The humor didn't disappoint at all, and I enjoyed this read very much. I'd have liked to see more character development though. :/ There was action and heat, but I think it lacked a little in that. And I guess it's understandable, since technnically, Katy and Daemon had already changed, but well, that's my impression.

So thanks, to this author for giving us yet another awesome story to treasure forever. Daemon and Archer will always be in my heart *cue starry eyes*

Opposition isn't the greatest series finale, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it! It picks up immediately where that bizarre ending of Origin ended, but Daemon, Dee, and Dawson are gone, and the Luxen are no longer lighting up the sky. Something is wrong, very, very wrong, but no one knows what. But the silence doesn't last forever, and the Luxen start attacking humans all over the world and assimilating their DNA. Luckily (or not so luckily), they can sense that Katy is different and take her back to one of their headquarters, where she's faced with one of her worst nightmares: is Daemon siding with the invading Luxen?

The plot of Opposition takes place all over the country, as the characters move from one problem to another. They were constantly on the move, and something was always happening. There's the new Luxen taking over positions of power, the Origins working with them, the human government rendering entire cities obsolete to be rid of the Luxen, and then more personal matters. While there was so much going on, at times it was just a lot of traveling to get to where the action was. There weren't many surprises at all. One reveal was suppose to be a shock, but it was kind of a "so what?" moment for me, since it actually made things better rather than worse, but of course Katy and Daemon took it as the worst thing ever. Alright.

My favorite part of Opposition was the Arum! I totally started to switch to Team Arum after reading Obsession, but this Luxen invasion definitely cemented my position. Plus, Hunter! We get some more Hunter! That was so exciting! I don't want to give anything away, but I kept wondering how the Arum were finally going to play into all of this, and woah. They certainly know how to make an entrance! It was a bit disturbing, but it was a great way for all of this to end.

Of course there's a happy ending in Opposition. There's a super, duper cheesy epilogue, which I actually could have done without. I'm glad it was included, since it does wrap up some of the loose ends, but it did go on entirely too long. Overall though, I'm satisfied with this ending, and I'm sad that the series is over. I don't think I could ever get enough of Daemon and Katy. And Hunter!

The book was amazing. There was the humor I've come to expect from these character, but there was a shiteload of emotion and action that I didn't know what direction I was heading most of the time. And despite being happy with how everything ended, I'm sad that there isn't anymore Daemon and Katy. They were the first set of books I've read by Jennifer Armentrout and why she's permanently on my auto-buy list. I bow to her greatness and look forward to what she has coming next.
