There has perhaps never been a play that was so highly acclaimed in the literary circles all over the world. Agamemnon by Aeschylus is hailed as the best ever written play in the Greek tradition.

There are many English Translations of the play, written over the period of many decades, and the most controversial one was said to be The Browning Version. It is said that it has its drawbacks, and there has been a movie made in the late 20th century with the title The Browning Version. The film, however, was not about Agamemnon, it had a different story.
