I got this little novella for free and thought I should give it a read. It was a quick read and more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Apparently it's a kind of prequel to the author's No Match for Love series, so for anyone who has read those books already the main characters here will be familiar, albeit much younger. In spite of this, it was still fine as a standalone read.

Most of the characters are fairly likeable and a few difficult topics are also dealt with. There was no real twist to speak of, but the ending definitely set things up for more to follow.
