Cold Spell was my least favorite of this series. A retelling of the Snow Queen, Pearce introduces us to Kai and Ginny who are friends and also in love. When Kai is taken by the strange Mora, Ginny sets out to rescue him. The most interesting part of this story was the Prologue.

I never believed in Kai and Ginny's relationship, it always felt so forced throughout this book. Ginny was so consumed by Kai that she never once thought of what she would want for herself, she was just determined to follow him on his path. Everything about this was annoying.

The Travellers part of the story always felt like it should have been its own thing. I didn't fully understand her reason for introducing it and spending so much time there away from the story. One thing I did enjoy was the character Mora. She was a complex villain and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her POV chapters.
