Sweet baby bunnies =D Without spoilers,
Daemon is hot as hell, -of course we already know that
Kat is a heroine that doesn't make me want to eat broccoli
The writing was so good it required a good amount of will power to stop reading so my math teacher would stop looking at me like I'm a disgrace to maths
Overall, a fullfilling book that wasn't boring at all.

Oh Holy toledo BATMAN! What an intense book. This series already has had me wrapped around it's little finger since the beginning, but WOW, now it's just becoming more epic. The constant battles this group has to go through is phenomenal. The story-line grabs you right up and sucks in you in immediately. Jennifer L. Armentrout, is an outstanding author. The world she has created reminds me some of the old movies Cocoon but more epic like. And with the way this book ended I'm screaming out for the next one already. GEESH! What a rush!

I feel like I need to go into this review already defending myself ... yes I liked it. OF COURSE I will read the last book when it comes out, but this has been my least favorite of the series so far. As much as I liked getting a peak into Daemon's head, it made him less mysterious and I think that took away some of what made him intriguing to me.

I remember all the emotions I had at the end of Opal, that major cliffhanger, and the empty feeling that left me with. I think, in part, that is also why I went into Origin so jaded. Small cliffhangers are fine, and certainly leave me wanting more, but the way Opal ended I felt like I had to go into Origin guarded, knowing how Armentrout likes to emotionally drain her readers. That affected my reading experience, I distanced myself from the characters.

Of course, all that being said, I still loved the story. Origin is unique and enthralling. The writing is easy to read and you do feel a certain connection, no matter how hard you try not to, with the characters. Like all of Armentrout's YA books, there are twists you don't see coming, new characters introduced, and betrayals that break your heart. It is certainly a roller coaster of ups and downs, side to sides, and a few loops - and you aren't ever sure if you have your seat-belt on.

If you haven't read the Lux Series yet, you should. It is really great. But be prepared - Origin ends on another cliffhanger, though in my opinion it isn't nearly as bad as Opal. But it does make me wonder about the chances of things going terribly wrong for everyone before the end of the series.

Origin was explosive, from beginning to end. Told in dual points of view, from the detained Kat, to Daemon, who is looking to free her. The government has devised a plan to create a perfect race, free of illness and disease, called Origins. They are being harnessed as a supernatural army, to wipe out those who want to see the humans enslaved.

The Lux series is brilliant, and Origin is no different. Loveable characters, and Jennifer L Armentrout has created a world where readers will no doubt find themselves lost between the pages and fully immersed. The cheeky reference to the character's from Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins was very cute indeed.

I feel lost. If you've known me for a while, then you will know that I am a huge fan of the first three books in the Lux series. I read them back-to-back in December, and I adored them. They weren't perfect or original, but they were fun and steamy and I didn't have to think while reading them. Origin, on the other hand, was almost the complete opposite. There were parts that made me want to ragequit, and I was too busy making comparisons to other books to love this book.

Don't break out the pitchforks, guys. I tried to love and adore it, I really did.

So freaking good! Just when you don't think you can love Daemon and Katy anymore, this book comes out and you fall harder. I'm sad this book is over and the wait for book 5 starts (spring/summer 2014).
