Cisco Interactive Mentor, IP Routing: Border Gateway Protocol provides fundamental information on BGP operation, path selection, flow control, load balancing, and advertisements using Cisco router products. Each module contains instruction and labs that put the user in the role of a network administrator implementing Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) in a virtual networking environment.

CIM, IP Routing: Border Gateway Protocol consists of five modules, each one building on the previous lessons learned. The first four modules contain a brief introduction to the module, interactive tutorials, and simulation lab exercises. Users learn basic BGP concepts, terminology, and attributes as well as the Cisco IOS Software commands used to configure and troubleshoot BGP. The final module presents a series of Challenge Labs that provide users with the opportunity to gain additional configuration and troubleshooting experience. Throughout each tutorial, users are presented with tips and tricks specific to Cisco IOS Software that have been learned from Cisco support engineers and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) engineers while troubleshooting literally tens of thousands of customer networking problems.
