This design manual is now based on Code of Practice BS5268: Part 2 (the rewrite of CP 112: Part 2). In this edition, the chapters on timber supply, preservation and hardwoods have been expanded, and a new design method for ply web beams has been introduced to take account of the difference between stress levels of building and tension.
