The Kynock Press, which flourished for over a century, had a reputation as one of the foremost printing houses of the period. The strength of the Press lay in its introduction of 19th-century English revival types into Britain during the 1930s. In its latter years the Press was innovative in embracing new opportunities, however, the economic recession of the 1980s forced its closure in 1981. This history of the Kynoch Press is enriched by personal accounts from surviving staff and also contains detailed listings of the types held by the press at every period.
