During Talia's lowest point in her life, she ends up lost in a different part of town. Almost nearing a panic attack, a blue & brown eyed stranger comes out of nowhere; someone she quickly feels safe around. And believes that she can trust him. Meeting this 'stranger' and the gift that he gave her, set her life on a new path; one with hope. Eight years later, she pulled her self through and could never get that kind 'stranger' out of her thoughts. Now in college pursuing journalism, she is now and answer seeker. And a current project is what sets her to go to any length to figure out the truth.
Sebastian is a man you'll have plenty of questions for; he's a complete mystery. Upon that chance of meeting young Talia, he wanted to help out this poor girl. He gave her something that could help her out financially. After that moment, they don't cross paths until 8 years later. Will they recognize each other? After all this time will they remember one another?
There are times when the female character can be a bit on the irritating & irrational side of things, but thankfully that's not what we got with Talia. She's a strong character and has managed to pull herself through a shitty dealt hand, growing up. No matter how far she seems to get in her life, the shadows are slowly creeping up behind her. And Sebastian just might be the end of the rainbow that she needs. Of course, there were some plenty frustrating moments with her decision making, but I just kept saying to myself that it'll all be okay in the end.
Oh, Sebastian! He's just all ... I don't even know how to explain it. He's one of those guys that likes to be in control of things, but can be very caring and sweet, as well! I'd just be in a daze from listening to this guy talk. With a past of his own, can he manage to keep his dark side at bay, all while being there completely for Talia? Some things are worth waiting for, right? Is there a deadline for waiting?
The pace of this book is surprisingly amazing! For how short it is, Michelle managed to stretch things out quite a bit and kept you interested the whole time. From page to page, you're dying to know what happens next. You're constantly on the edge of your seat with so many questions going through your head, wondering if this or that will happen? As a reader, you're going to create a dozen scenarios of what you want to happen between Talia and Sebastian. Right when you think things are going perfectly and can't see how anything could end badly, she goes and leaves you hanging!
I am 100% a fan of yours, I tweeted you as soon as I finished both of the books! I can't wait to see what's in store for Talia and Sebastian!
