Initial thoughts: The first two-fifth of the book held my interest fairly well. It was a little cutesy for my taste but the premise sounded like something I'd be into: protagonist in her mid to late twenties broke off engagement, quit job and moved back home to her parents to figure out her life again. There was this retro thing with a tape she was obsessed about but it needed fixing. That tape lead her to a new friend and on the story went.

Despite some moments that made me smile, I wasn't taken in very much by Life After Falling. Cassidy lacked personality, especially considering that the narrative was from the first-person perspective. There were some interesting twists that could've been pursued more but remained shallow instead. The resolution too fell entirely flat (pun fully intended).
